TIPA Convention Awards
Adviser Matthew Connolly, and Student Life Communications Coordinator Lori Blewett led a group of 16 Austin Community College students to the TIPA state convention in Dallas from April 9-11. These students competed in on-site competitions and mailed-in competitions against over 600 college students from schools all over the state. Accent staff members earned the following:
Best of Show Competition:

(No division - students at convention compete against all other students regardless of four year or two year status or size of school.)

On March 18, 2009, the Associated Collegiate Press announced that theaccent.org has been selected from 223 entries as one of 42 finalists in the 2009 Online Pacemaker competition.
